People keep asking us… why are we the Hillbilly Social?

We picked the name Hillbilly because we brew our beer in Muswell Hill. However, being a Hillbilly is not just about coming from Muswell Hill! Hillbillies have a long history of being local, fiercely independent and unique. For more on what it means to be a Hillbilly read our first blogpost.

why the social?

The Social is an extension the taproom in Muswell Hill where our community first began. However, we wanted to use this opportunity to extend our reach and build a wider community that caters to all. The name ‘Social’ reflects our vision of a welcoming space where everyone can eat, drink, relax and enjoy eachothers company. We aim to host events ran by locals that encourage this sense of unity and create a safe, happy space for people of all walks of life.
